Dick James Memorial + World Orienteering Week at Fleming Park

Dick James was a founding member of the Orienteering Association of Nova Scotia and a past Board member of the Canadian Orienteering (now Orienteering Canada). His passion for Orienteering was reflected in the thousands of hours he devoted to growing the sport over the years.

Dick had a keen interest in supporting and developing junior orienteers. As a result, proceeds from the DIck James Memorial are donated to junior development.

This year, Orienteering Nova Scotia is super proud to have a member, Sophie Kent-Purcell, representing Canada at the Junior World Orienteering Championships in Czech Republic this summer!! Event proceeds will go to support Sophie in this endeavour, and will be matched by Orienteering Nova Scotia. We thank you for your contribution.
